A laid-back white and green wedding at Asylum Chapel

This wonderfully relaxed couple were married at one of my favourite venues, Asylum Chapel in London. Crumbling paintwork, stunning stained-glass windows and ethereal dancing shadows. Asylum Chapel is a unique Grade II listed venue steeped in London history and perfect for those who want something a little bit different. 

Chloe and Adam’s brief asked for white flowers with masses of silver-green foliage including eucalyptus and olive. I used large white peonies, ranunculus, rice flower, delphiniums and wax flowers to create Chloe’s highly textural, oversized bouquet, and finished it off with an olive coloured trailing silk ribbon.
For Chloe’s four bridesmaids I created co-ordinating olive and eucalyptus foliage only bouquets, with matching olive ribbon, and the buttonholes were rosemary with wax flower and rice flower.

Inside Asylum Chapel I decorated the welcome sign easel, and added trailing pew ends with white ribbon to alternating rows along the aisle. The light inside is just incredible, and the day was captured perfectly by Anne Schwarz.

The pew ends and welcome sign easel were later taken to the reception venue by Chloe and Adam’s bridal party.
